Six structured cohort tracks — DLL-001 through DLL-006 — progress from environment setup and first training runs to capstone deployment. Every programme is delivered from our Victoria studio with guided lab sessions, mentor reviews, and experiment log templates. Prices shown are indicative ranges in Canadian dollars before GST/HST.

DLL-001

Deep Learning Lab Zero — Environment & First Training Run

Eight evening lab sessions introduce environment setup and your first neural network training run for software developers new to machine learning. You will configure a Conda environment, manipulate tensors with autograd, build multilayer perceptrons, and complete a guided forward pass drill on a curated dataset. Each session pairs a concise whiteboard primer with ninety minutes of keyboard time in our Victoria studio.

DLL-002

Lab Series: Training CNNs on Image Data

Ten lab sessions dive into convolutional neural network training on image datasets. Participants build CNN classifiers, experiment with augmentation policies, compare validation metrics across held-out splits, and document architecture choices in a lab report. The programme assumes completion of DLL-001 or equivalent PyTorch familiarity. Educational exercises use properly licensed or synthetic image data only.

DLL-003

Lab Series: RNN Text Classification Exercises

Nine lab sessions explore recurrent neural networks applied to text classification tasks. You will tokenize corpora, manage variable-length batches, train LSTM-based classifiers, and evaluate performance with appropriate metrics. Exercises include tensor shape debugging and validation split lab work. Python fluency and DLL-001 completion are prerequisites. This is technical NLP lab training — not wellness or coaching content.

DLL-004

Lab Series: Fine-Tuning Pretrained Models

Seven lab sessions teach supervised fine-tuning of pretrained neural models in an educational context. Learners adapt backbone weights, manage learning rate schedules for transfer tasks, monitor loss curves, and produce reproducible experiment logs. Includes weight update exercises and checkpoint management drills. Suitable for developers who have completed at least one prior DLL lab series.

DLL-005

Lab Series: Debugging Loss Curves & Overfitting

Six intensive lab sessions focused on diagnosing unstable training runs. Learn to read loss and accuracy curves, detect label leakage, tune learning rates with schedulers, apply gradient clipping, and run disciplined ablation studies. Popular among analysts who can train models but struggle to stabilize them across new datasets. Includes backprop lab drills and inference test bench reviews.

DLL-006

Capstone Lab — End-to-End Neural Network Project

Twelve lab sessions guide you from problem framing through trained model, documented evaluation, and capstone demo presentation. Mentors review your experiment log weekly. Capstone topics have included fraud scoring, vegetation indexing, and permit classification — always with synthetic or properly licensed data. Completion yields a training participation certificate, not a university degree.
